The New Eve Mission
The New Eve Mission is a free apostolate for women who want to grow in holiness through their motherhood vocation, following the example of Mary, the New Eve.
Motherhood is a vocation to fruitfulness, mission and ultimately holiness.
“Be fruitful & multiply, fill the earth & subdue it” (Gen 1:28). Motherhood is a natural vocation as designed by the Creator. It is also a call to mission because woman is the one in whom the order of love in the created world of persons takes first root, and women imbued with the spirit of the Gospel can help to stop humanity from falling (Mulieris Dignitatem 1988, § 29; Vatican II, 1965).
But ultimately, it is a call to holiness because everyone is called to holiness regardless of their state in life (Catechism of the Catholic Church # 2013).
Who is a New Eve?
Mary is the New Eve.
A New Eve is a woman who seeks to recognise God’s invitation in her lived experience of fertility and motherhood and respond to it with Mary as her model.
She doesn’t have to have motherhood figured out.
She doesn’t have to be a perfect mother.
She doesn’t have to have all the answers.
She simply chooses to keep asking:
Where is God inviting me?
How is He calling me to love?
How can I respond?
And through this, she seeks to grow in holiness.
What does it mean to be a New Eve?
Being a New Eve is not about achieving a particular ideal of Catholic motherhood.
It is about learning to see your everyday experiences of fertility and motherhood through the eyes of faith and responding to God’s grace within them.
It means discovering that the ordinary realities of your life — your fertility, your marriage, pregnancy, birth, loss, work, relationships, family life and motherhood — can become places where you encounter God and grow in holiness.
This is the New Eve way of living the motherhood vocation.
What happens when you join the New Eve Mission?
When you join, you become part of a growing body of women seeking to live motherhood intentionally as a vocation.
As a New Eve, you will receive ongoing spiritual and foundational formation, based on the New Eve Method®. This includes:
- short introductory courses
- the New Eve Guide
- spiritual resources
- weekly reflections through email or podcast reflections to help you recognise and respond to God’s invitations in everyday motherhood.
You will also get discounted access to all courses, events & products on the website.
FAQs
Is this a membership?
It is a membership of sorts but more than this, it is a way of life to help you live your motherhood vocation. This way of life does have a home in the New Eve Mission.
Can I leave the mission at anytime?
Yes, stay for as long as you need support living your motherhood vocation, whether it is for a few weeks or for years. We’ll continue to provide ongoing formation for as long as you are in the mission. Cancel your membership anytime by going to your account profile or emailing us.
Even if you cancel your membership, we hope that you’d continue to find support to live your motherhood vocation outside of the New eve Mission.
Will I get support for conception, family planning and fertility in general?
Our short introductory courses will give you foundational information on conception& natural family planning. For more in-depth guidance & formation, you can check out the Academy. New Eves get discounted access to everything in the Academy.
I am not a Catholic, can I join?
Yes! The programme has a Catholic-Christian focus; it is offered for Catholic women and for those who desire formation and support using a Catholic approach. Please note based on Catholic teaching:
– We teach that motherhood is a Divine vocation
– We do not encourage artificial reproductive techniques such as IUI, IVF, surrogacy or artificial contraception. Our focus is to support women to achieve or avoid conception using a natural approach.
I am not resident in the UK. Can I join?
Yes, you can join the programme even if you are not resident in the UK. The programme is online and can be accessed from anywhere.
